We offer a bespoke magazine scanning and newspaper scanning service which helps to digitise any archived magazines and newspapers you may have that may need to be in electronic format for many different reasons.

How are the magazines and newspapers scanned?

Firstly we take an index of all magazines newspapers collected from your address then these are placed on to our overhead scanner where little contact is required from our scanning operators to ensure the delicate pages are kept in good condition. As each page is turned and scanned it will capture the images in high quality.

Once these are scanned we go through a tidy-up process whereby all pages are optimised and corrected to ensure they appear correctly and the edges are in the correct place which may involve some cropping and image adjustments to get the right contrast.

Once we have all the cleaned images we can convert them into a PDF per magazine or newspaper and then title each file as you wish e.g. by date, magazine name, title etc. The PDF’s can also be personalised showing one or 2 pages at a time.

Our OCR software will then scan the pages and capture all of the computerised text to ensure the pages are fully text searchable which is useful for keyword searches throughout any magazine or newspaper.
